Steak: Air Fryer

Oh Me – Oh My!!!

I mean – seriously! I will admit, I was skeptical when I saw a recipe for steak in an air fryer. I thought…dare I try this and possibly ‘ruin’ our steak meal. HOWEVER – it did not disappoint! In fact, I think it’s one of the best steaks I have ever eaten.

Her recipe called for Sirloin Steak but we’re Filet Mignon peeps. And since we don’t eat steak very often, it’s a nice treat. In fact, this was our Valentine’s meal together (yep, I’m behind on sharing this – oops).

  • I would recommend reading through her tips before jumping to the recipe.
  • I also went with my own creation for seasoning – and of course while revisiting this, I wish I could remember what I used. I want to say I did a mix of: olive oil, roasted garlic seasoning, salt, a dash of pepper…
  • I like sautΓ©ed onions for my steak so that is added on top.
  • We like our steaks Medium Rare and this recipe was pretty well dead on. Marc would have preferred it a little more pink but it was still SO TENDER – like, I’m talking…practically cutting through like butter.

To go with it, I tried a new carrot recipe – which is below. Honey Bourbon-Glazed Carrots – these.were.AMAZING!!!

NOTE: Keep in mind, if you are not a Bourbon drinker – don’t worry about what Bourbon to pick at the store. Since you’re using it to cook with, the alcohol content changes (evaporates during the cooking process). Therefore, it doesn’t need to be an expensive brand (or at least that’s my viewpoint on it). πŸ™‚
