How many of us go through life trying to figure out what our purpose is? What are we to do with what we are given? What do we want to ‘accomplish’ in this lifetime?
I think we all do!
I saw this picture on January 1st and it’s been popping up in my head on & off – along with many different thoughts and feelings.
I believe I am here to use my God-given heart for others. It looks different from day-to-day and year-to-year. My hope (and request, if it feels right) is for you to share my website with loved ones that you believe would enjoy it. Why? Because I dream of touching hearts through love. “Live Simply – Dream Big – Be Happy – Give Love – Laugh Lots.” – Unknown
Kelly Clarkson has a song called: Broken & Beautiful. Multiple lines within the lyrics touch me deeply and I feel they are words many can relate to:
- We bury our emotion and pretend that we’re just fine…the only way to live now is to know you’re gonna fly….Don’t listen to the lying liars and their lies
- I’m phenomenal, I’m enough…
- Can someone just hold me? Can someone just know me?
- I’m BROKEN and it’s BEAUTIFUL…
- I’m tired…Can I just be tired?
- I’m wild…Can I just be wild?
- I’m BROKEN and it’s BEAUTIFUL…
You are phenomenal! You can be tired! You can be wild! You can be broken – that doesn’t mean thrown to the curb, unworthy, stuck. It means there’s hope! I like to think of broken in regards to the saying about: that’s how light gets in (Ernest Hemingway).
We used this verse in my mom’s program at her funeral service:
- Matthew 5:14-16: “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.”
I want to be a light and shine! I want to be here, loving you for YOU and leaving a trace of goodness in simplistic ways!
Tomorrow isn’t promised for anyone but if we can do our todays together, I’d like that – a LOT! I can’t do it alone. Will you help me?!!? š
