Follow up re: Giving
If you didn’t see the initial post, we asked for giving ideas. God knows each of our hearts and we wanted to connect differently, opening our eyes to explore the diversity and range of giving opportunities.
Through a grateful heart, I’d like to share what we received.
- Freedom 4/24 – educating and advocacy for human trafficking
- Helping families in need: go fund me pages, local families that may not have a Christmas without the help from local communities (includes food too)
- YMCA of York and York County
- Northeastern Food Pantry: serves many people in dire need (address: 4832 N Sherman Street, Mt Wolf) – due to COVID, they are only excepting monetary gifts vs food donations, etc
Ones from our hearts to yours:
- St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital – this one was always one that tugged at my Momma’s heart
- SPCA – or other Rescues
- World Vision – – Compassion – – Save the Children
- Toys for Tots – there are also many local drop off places (in malls, different companies have them in their offices, etc)
- Angel Trees
- Church
- Salvation Army – Besides monetary donations – there are different sign up opportunities (serving, bell ringing…)
- Food Pantries in different areas
There are many giving opportunities. But also remember, your heart gives in so many ways besides money (time shared, prayers sent, kind messages sent just because it’s placed on your heart, meals donated…).
Don’t lose the goodness within of doing for others – all year long. Love shared in all ways is a gift and treasured in ways we may never know the full extent of but it warms the hearts of others in BIG WAYS!!!
Tons of Love & Big Hugs for each heart, always!!! xoxo
