God’s Country

With COVID, and not knowing what would be open and not open – we opted to rent a cabin for a get-a-way. We truly can’t say enough about our trip to the Pocono’s and would absolutely recommend this cabin and area to explore in general.

It was also our first time using Vrbo. Definitely easy and convenient (user friendly).

Property Name: The Knoll (Property #233099ha) at Beach Lake, PA

The cabin was very nice, pet friendly and furnished – The area was beautiful – We saw a lot of wildlife – They have a sitting area overlooking the Delaware River that is peaceful…

Basically, if you look it up – don’t hesitate to believe all the good reviews given.

Two hiking areas we explored and would recommend:

• Damascus Forest – roughly a 15 minute drive (109 Maccubbins Road, Beach Lake, PA 18405). Easy walking and several geocaching spots (“Geocaching is an outdoor recreational activity, in which participants use a Global Positioning System receiver or mobile device and other navigational techniques to hide and seek containers, called “geocaches” or “caches”, at specific locations marked by coordinates all over the world”)
• Neversink Gorge Trail – roughly an hour drive (Rock Hill, NY: Trail Map). We parked by the Wolf Brook Multiple Use Area and followed the trail to see Mullet Falls and then down to Denton Falls. Pack a sandwich and enjoy a picnic at either area. So beautiful!
