Mind Full vs Mindful

Defined through a Google Search:

  • “Mind FULL adds two items to your to-do list for each one you check off. Mindfulness lets you enjoy one moment, task or event at a time.” (International Coach Academy)
  • “The aim of meditation & mindfulness is not to get rid of our thoughts but to change our relationship with them.” (SIS, Spa-in-Spain.com – Wellness Holidays)
  • “If you are doing mindfulness meditation, you are doing it with your ability to attend to the moment.” (Daniel Goldman)

I couldn’t pick which one to share. My takeaway, from these but also through how the two feel: Mind FULL is exhausting. Mindful is an act of adding calm over our being!

This picture represents being mindful. An incredible night sky that pulled me in. “Attending to the moment” – hitting the pause button of my MIND FULL presence in order to “enjoy a moment”…creating breathing space in a different way – allowing me to feel a bit lighter throughout tasks (vs cluttered brain on all things). Basically: redirecting my head and heart.

Mindfulness can be PAUSING to notice / appreciate things – Being PRESENT with those we are with (friends, family, animals…) – Being STILL: mediation or ‘just being’ in a moment without expectations: even stillness while being with people. Sometimes quietness sprinkled into time together can be a strong form of communication (saying: I’m comfortable)!

Enjoy NOTICTING how you “change your relationship with your thoughts” and hopefully experience more mindful moments!!! xoxo
