Passionately PurposeFULL

Chapters in Life

Two images that I came across over the last few days – both powerful and go together (or at least my heart has reason to put them together).

Let’s visit the “Dear Jesus” image! I mean – wow! How accurate, right! There are times, possibly more than not if we stop and think about it, where our hearts and our thoughts just don’t seem to pull together to make sense. However, the beauty of being connected with God is…He knows our heart so that scrambled pile of letters that aren’t forming words or those scattered feelings that we can’t pinpoint in order to fully express to God what we want to bring to Him – – He’s already on it!! When I direct my heart away from the confusion I’m facing and focus on the love He is already surrounding me with – I realize: to Him, it’s more about us turning to Him than it is ‘getting our crap together’ to speak to him. And don’t fret – it is absolutely way easier said than done. We get distracted by everyday things and feelings (1,000% guilty). The important part is when we pause, recognize and turn back to where we know our heart is meant to be – God meets us with a big smile! xoxo

So, we have the scrambled version above – and don’t get me wrong…a scrambled heart doesn’t always refer to a cry for help. It can be our excited hearts turning to God not able to gather our words in order to praise Him for the blessings received as well!! 🙂 VERY important to remember, we aren’t here just to ask for help and do all the talking. Listening and sending up praise is oh so very important!

For now, I’m going to use the image below to reference an eye-opening phrase (or title) that has been placed on my heart as an answer to prayer most recently.

Title: “ON HOLD”

Different circumstances – less favoring than what we can say we imaged or hoped for – have recently occurred. There is fear within the unknown and sometimes no matter how hard you try to look at things from all angles, there are curveballs < LIFE HAPPENS > kind of stuff. The phrase: on hold, was placed upon my heart and mind. I stopped in my tracks as it stood out to me when writing thoughts. Amongst sadness, I felt myself pause and reflect on this phrase. “On hold Tammy. Not permanent (hopefully) but temporary. What good can we pull out of what might seem so frustrating?” It’s most definitely a setback for sure. However, God willing…it will all work out. Maybe through slowing things down, it will create time to work through things a bit differently. In the long run, a slower pace might create a deeper bond in different ways.

We are human. Will I fall back into doubt, sadness, confusion, frustration, etc – I can guarantee I will. In fact, I’m not completely out of the clear with our current situation. It’s a pendulum swing and we are all working together as a family to keep our hearts focused more on calm than chaos.

We will have MANY chapters that will need titles. Some through distress and many due to greatness & celebration! Praying for you while also celebrating with you through all chapters!! xoxo
