Makeup Setting Spray & Lipstick

I enjoy playing around with makeup and this was a new item that was brought up in conversation so I thought I’d give it a whirl. This setting spray creates a slightly smoother appearance through a soft matte finish (without your face feeling dry or oily). I also think it does help to keep my makeup looking ‘more on the fresh side’ throughout the day. I like it!

I ordered the Morphe Continuous Setting Spray through Ulta – it does state that it’s an online order only. Ulta does have an easy return policy – if you don’t like their products, you can return it. AND, this is an item that is not excluded from coupons – – so that is another bonus factor. πŸ™‚

I’d also like to give a shout out to Amy Houseman with Mary Kay for my lipstick samples!! I’m a tried and true lip gloss lovin’ gal through my beautiful Soul Sista Lyndsay Schaeberle and of course still in love with each of my SeneGence colors (Facebook: Sealed with a Kiss by Lyndsay). I just thought I’d mix things up a bit and try a lipstick color, while also sharing love with another fantastic woman and the heart & soul she puts into her business too! πŸ™‚

  • Amy Houseman’s Mary Kay online link: Click Here
  • Lipstick color shown: Rosewood (a semi-shine lipstick)
  • Other color samples Amy gave me and I like are: Luminous Lilac & Rich Truffle. The Rich Truffle is a semi-matte and since I prefer a smooth glide vs a drier lip, she recommended their Sheer Illusion lip gloss over the lipstick (in which she had also shared with me). Definitely a great recommendation and I liked it a lot more that way (personal preference – I know matte is in for a lot of women).
  • I also like the Mary Kay Deep Brown eyeliner. I have sensitive eyes but have found this eyeliner to be eye friendly for me (while also easy to apply, lasts all day and then easy to remove when washing my face).
  • Amy is beautiful, shines bright and is super sweet! I’m genuinely grateful our paths crossed!!
