In the quiet

Sitting in the quiet, looking up and seeing this sign. I see it often, as it’s on a window sill in our dining area. It always touches my heart, as it was a special Christmas gift but so does the gentle reminder of the saying it self.

In the Daily Bread Devotional this morning, it asked: “Why is listening to God so vital in your life?” So many answers it can hold, and different for each one of us (and on a daily basis at that too). Today, for me, I feel it might be as simple as slowing down – enjoying the stillness of quiet time while receiving special little nudges placed before me, within me and all around me.

God says:

• I am near.
• I am fighting your battles.
• You are not worthless.
• You are my treasure.
• I love you.
