a*MAZE*ing Minds

Saturday was a fun evening doing a flashlight corn maze at Oregon Dairy. It was humorous letting each other try and take the lead. Each had different ways of seeing the map and trying to orientate things. We were successful at finding a few of the plotting points but also didn’t leave unsuccessful because we changed our course/focus to enjoying the rest of our time together stuffing our faces with some oh so yummy desserts.

It also got my gears turning on how our minds are much like the map – going in many different directions, constantly. Sometimes we’re on track, sometimes we need to backtrack and sometimes we have to say: you know, I have accomplished what I have and I’m good with that.

Another aspect that came to mind was a pondering question my husband asked me while working through the process of creating my website: What audience are you trying to target? My wheels have been spinning to try and figure out WHO & HOW. I have asked God for some direction and what came to me today was: why am I trying to pick an audience?!!? God doesn’t ‘pick an audience’. Anyone is welcome!

So, I suppose it’s kind of like reaching one of these destination points. It felt good for the ‘aha moment’ as well as for the reminder that we don’t walk alone. And, after we reach one point, that doesn’t mean we’re done. There’s so much more to navigate and those that walk with us, helping us stay on track, find our way and RISE – are worth a big: Thank You Jesus! 🙂
